Le groupe lactalisA GLOBAL COMPANY WITH A PASSION FOR UK DAIRY

LACTALIS MILK

There are many different varieties of milk available for consumption within the UK. These can be broken down into milk source such as cow’s milk, goat’s milk, or other non-dairy alternatives.

Milk can also be classified according to its fat content (whole milk, semi-skimmed milk, skimmed milk) or whether it is conventional or organic.

LACTALIS MCLELLAND IN THE MILK COLLECTION

Lactalis has always been passionate about milk collection and production, and we continue to increase our presence in this category with impressive growth. Today, milk is Lactalis’ second sector in terms of turnover, and we are the market leader in Europe with major brands such as Parmalat®, Lactel®, and Puleva®.

In the UK, we have a presence in the drinking milk market through Rachel’s® Organic, whose milk is sourced directly from farms located in the South West of England.

Rachel’s® Milk is 100% organic. Although all milk is a natural, safe, and healthy product, the full organic standards followed by our producers means that less intensive, sustainable farming practices are adopted, the welfare of the cows are maintained, and the environment is protected. This is validated through a programme of independent inspections and certification led by the Soil Association.
